Color photograph of lush greenery and periwinkles surround the headstone of a lady named Luckey.

Back in 2003 (or maybe 2004?) I visited Eugene, Oregon. It’s one of the most beautifully lush places I’ve ever been. Even in this cemetery, a flood of greenery and flowers burst forth over everything.

When I came upon this gravestone, I had to giggle at the irony of this late lady’s name – Luckey. That’s the luck of the Irish, for sure!
